Yeah, I have NO idea why the navigation buttons aren't working (the ones for the comic, not the image map links that currently lead to nowhere). I also don't know why the header image isn't showing up on the rest of the pages. So yay for breaking things! :D
(Edit: The nav buttons work now. ^^)
But look! An iframe! With news in it!
I'm glad nothing else seems to be horribly deformed, though, so I consider this a success for my first attempt at working with html in, oh, say...five or more years. ^^;
I know, I know, a normal news section would probably look better instead of an iframe leading to a blog, but I think this is much more efficient. I can update the news and such without having to run an update on the site, which seems silly when I just want to add a little text. Plus, it's easier to go in and edit. AND y'all can comment! If I'd gone the other way, there'd be no way to have a comment feature without adding a tagboard, which would take up more space. I'm already having trouble trying to figure out how to get the Newsbox and some webcomic vote site buttons to fit in here without knocking the blog off center. And then there's the calendar feature I wanted to add, so I need to find space for that, too. I'd like it off to the side(s) of the blog, but, like I said, I can't quite figure out how to get them there without totally screwing with the iframe's location and I LIKE where the iframe is right now.
But I suppose the more important news is about the comic. It's been busy for us all, I'm sure, so I haven't had any time to work on chapter two. Ideally, I'd like to have a one to two month buffer before I go back to school, plus there's the site to mess with and I still need to storyboard the whole chapter AND there are parts I'm very unhappy with still, so I also need to go through the script and edit it. Luckily, editing the script and storyboarding doesn't take me too long. Maybe a few days and I don't have to storyboard everything at once. But I don't have a few days until the next update and the family computer seems to be having some issues. So, as it says in that blue bar above the page, Godspawn is going to be updating on Wednesdays and Fridays for a time. Maybe I'll just keep it like that, I dunno. Either way, I'm just giving myself a little more time so I can get used to being at home and figure out how to deal with the website and all that jazz.
I really didn't mean for this post to be quite so long, but meh, that tends to happen with me. They shouldn't be like this on a normal basis, though, it's just the first news post so there was a lot to say. xP
